About the Cabin

This rental cabin has a warm inviting interior with lots of natural wood and earth-tones. The Talkeetna Cabin's main floor has a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The living area has a couch and chair with ottoman, television and there is a full bed in an alcove off of the living area. Newly remodeled full kitchen, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. The Bathroom has a shower and is stocked with fresh clean towels and wash clothes.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. There is also a queen bed in living room alcove. Not shown in picture. The other bedroom has a full bed. Guests have access to the electric sauna located just outside. As with all of our accommodations, cabins have free wireless internet access.

The Cabin was built by family members and local Talkeetna craftspersons, thus the super-insulated, specially designed thick outside walls makes for an energy efficient, quiet home. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter due to its special structure. In addition to the sauna, nearby is the barbecue and fire pit. The picnic table outside the cabin door, pavilion/fire pit across the road, extra parking and the large octagonal deck in the back yard provide plenty of outdoor sitting space for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful wooded setting.

Marne and her Mom, Mary were great! The Cabin was more than we expected, immaculate, well appointed, comfortable. Kitchenette made it easy for a light meal. The neighborhood was clean and quiet and a short walk to the town. If you are planning a trip to Talkeetna, this is a must place to stay!

It is a great place! Everything is very clean, and the bed is so comfortable! We had a great time staying there.

We had a group of eight people and enjoyed a great stay in Talkeetna in the yurt, nook, and cabin for two nights. I recommend any of those three places and will stay again if in the area. The communication was effective and the stay was trouble free one. Thank you!
